For years the bathroom products that were available in Australia were super conservative, almost to the point of being boring. Thank goodness, those days are over! Whilst matte black tapware has been selling for a while now it has taken time for other colours to really take off.
We have always found that Australian trends tend to follow European trends in interior design but finally we are breaking out of the shadow of our northern cousins and making our own design choices.
We are really loving the introduction of feminine colours, such as gold and rose gold, and we are even more pleased and surprised to see the growth of masculine shades like gun metal.
Since Australia no longer follows the rest of the world it can be difficult to forecast trends but we have heard whispers that The Block and Renovation Rescue will be featuring a lot of gold tapware again this year. Keep an eye out for some of the Phoenix gold tapware.
